Summer White

Top: Shopbop // Jeans: Frame // Shoes: Tory Burch (old, this years version here) // Bag: Meli Melo // Jewelry: David Yurman

Hello and happy Thursday! With this short week for Memorial Day and traveling to the Big Apple for work, my life has been extra hectic. Thankfully, my weekend at Bethany Beach was a fun and relaxing couple of days prior to the craziness. In the grand tradition of the unofficial start of summer I chose this all-white outfit to wear for the holiday festivities. I have been obsessed with off the shoulder lately, and I couldn't resist the wallet friendly price of this feminine little crop top. As for the denim, I spent the greater part of April trying on every pair of high-waisted white jeans I could find. This pair exclusive to Intermix has made me a Frame convert. It is funny how sometimes the simplest outfits come together as a result of some pretty intensive hours wrestling with stacks of jeans in the dressing room. But as someone smart once said, "if the jeans don't fit... try, try again" or something like that. I hope you are having a great week and thank you for reading!

Undone Casual

Shirt: J.Crew // Shoes: Aquatalia // Shorts: Forever 21 (similar here and here and here) // Bag: Fendi // Sunnies: Celine

I'm the type of girl who derives a lot of joy in dressing up. I love party dresses, sky-high heels, and well curated stacks of jewelry on my wrist. However, I am equally into some serious casual styling. This look may seem a little undone to some, but that is exactly its oh-so-comfy charm. I paired my half-tucked linen button down with distressed denim shorts and 90's inspired sandals. I have been searching for a pair of trendy platforms for a while now and I am loving these Aquatalia pair that I found 40% off at the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale. I hope you have a great rest of the week and thank you as always for reading.

Rainbow Bright

 Shoes: c/o Marc Fisher // Skirt: J.Crew // Sweater: J.Crew // Sunnies: Rayban // Bag: Meli Melo

Happy Monday! Bright colors always put me in a good mood, and what better day and place to be in a good mood than Monday at the office? I work in a creative enviorment, so it's ok for me to take risks. Pairing brights that are contrasting works by keeping everything solid and simple. It's also important that all of these separates are work appropriate, i.e. the pencil skirt hits at the top of the knee and the pump had a mild heel height. The brighter the colors the more subdued the actual garmet needs to be for 9 to 5 dressing. I hope everyone has a great start to their week and thank you as always for reading.

Springtime Stroll

Shorts: Zara ( similar here) // Top: Rachel Zoe (last year, love these cropped white tops here and  here ) // Bag: Fendi // Shoes: Jack Rogers // Sunnies: Celine

Hello and happy mid-week! It has been a beautiful early May in DC so far, and I have taken every opportunity I can to enjoy the season. I wore this outfit last Sunday on a stroll through Georgetown with Rob. We stopped by the waterfront for drinks and ended up taking a ride on a friend's boat. And though I didn't plan for a day on the water,  I was feeling quite nautically appropriate in my striped shorts. Maybe my outfit planned my event, instead of the other way around! I hope you have a great rest of your Wednesday and thank you as always for reading.

Gold Cup

Dress: Tibi // Bag: Serupi Marie // Sunnies: Tory Burch // Wedges: Tory Burch (new version here and here) // Hat: J.Crew // Jewelry: David Yurman and House of Harlow

Happy Monday! Over the weekend I attended the Virginia Gold Cup! Though it's a little smaller scale than the Kentucky Derby, I loved watching the horses run and sipping on mint juleps. In anticipation of this event, I spent a great deal of time trying to find the perfect dress. I fell in love with this white Tibi option because it was the perfect balance of chic and feminine. Not to mention, off-the-shoulder dresses and tops are really big for the summer. I paired my sundress with a raffia minaudière for a pop of color, and my mirrored cat eye sunnies to add a small dose of edginess to this otherwise sweet outfit. I hope everyone has a great week, and thank you as always for reading.
