One Piece Wonder

Happy Friday!

Navy blue is one of my favorite neutrals. It's preppy, nautical, and has a similar chic factor to black, but softer for summer. The simplicity of this navy romper makes it the perfect blank canvas for statement jewelry, and the layered open back makes it easy to wear in the Florida heat. In addition to the breeziness, the back of this one-piece romper looks like a separate top and short...I enjoy details that add extra visual interest. This outfit is also a true multi-tasker as it could go from a weekend at the beach, to girls night out. Thank you for reading and have a great weekend!

Flora and Fauna

Happy Wednesday!

This jumpsuit really caught my eye with it's small blue birds and tropical print. I love palm trees, flowers, and the little animals that live in and around them. A jumpsuit may be a intimidating pick for some, but I promise, it is so easy to wear. I paired the allover print with simple accessories so the jumper can do all the talking. I also think it would be darling styled with a simple flat sandal and a jean vest for a casual look... I love versatility. Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great week!

Happy Memorial Day!!

Happy Memorial Day!!

1 / 2  /3 /4 /5

Happy Memorial Day!! Today is a day for the beach, watermelon cocktails, barbecues, and a warm summer night with family and friends. But it is important to take time to remember the real reason for this wonderful holiday. So many men and women have given their lives so we can live ours freely. As a daughter of a Veteran, I am always reminded that freedom does not come free, and today is a good day to reflect on what that really means. I am so proud to be an American!

I have pulled together some pieces that are perfect for kicking off summer. I hope you have a great holiday and thanks for reading.

Art Deco

South Beach Miami may be one of my favorite places to vacation. Im here in the Historic Art Deco district where there is an abundance of great food and night life, a beautiful beach, and lots of shopping... what more could you ask for? When I'm in Miami  I try to have fun with color and print. This printed skirt is neoprene which is perfect for traveling because it doesn't wrinkle when packed. I chose to offset the fitted skirt with a bright v-neck summer sweater. I love playing with a mix of preppy and trendy. I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend, and thanks for reading!

Tunic Travels

Hello and greetings from South Florida! My family and I made the journey down for the holiday weekend to spend some quality time on the water. My parents are serious boaters and I have learned that the pass-time does require some specific fashion choices. Boat shoes are a necessity (you should see my Dad's horror at those who step onto his boat wearing shoes that leave scuffs). So naturally I opted for a shiny metallic pair. You could say these topsiders put the "fun" back into functional. This tunic is also great for a day in the Florida humidity. Not only is the linen breezy but the tropical color and print put me it the summer vacation mindset. I hope everyone is having a great week and thank you for reading!

Leopard and Lemon

Many people often associate leopard print with fall and winter. However,
in my opinion the right cat-inspired graphic is seasonless. I actually purchased this pant at J.Crew in early fall and I am pleased that they are a perfect spring and summer piece as well. The black and white palette feels modern and the length of the pant is perfect to showcase strappy sandals. My bright neon lemon bag is surprisingly versatile... I kid you not, it is amazing how much I can wear it with. I hope you are having a great weekend and thanks for reading!

Stripes on Stripes

Sorry for the lapse in posts. I am happy to report that I have completed my second year of law school and I am back in Florida for the summer! Though Oxford is beautiful, I have missed the Spanish moss dripping off the oak trees and soaking up the sunshine on the beach. Being back near the ocean also puts me in a nautical mood... hence the pairing of stripes. A navy and white striped skirt can be worn with everything and this shirt provides a metallic spin on a classic staple. Have a great week!

May Flowers

It is hard to believe it is already May! Where does the time go? Well as the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers...and first time I saw this floral print, I was hooked. The oversized graphic botanicals are a chic alternative to an overly feminine floral; and the back of the blouse has a swingy low cut-out that feels unexpected. This top will be making a lot of appearances in my summer wardrobe, but thanks to the color palette, it is sure to become a year around favorite.

Hope you are having a great weekend and thanks for reading!
